PPC continues to expand the interoperable partner ecosystem surrounding its SMGWplus. At the EEBUSummit & Plugfest 2026 in Cologne, PPC recognized thirteen partner companies whose systems successfully passed interoperability tests with the SMGWplus or the CLS Adapter Control. The focus was on the EEBUS SHIP Pairing Service and the reliable transmission of control commands.
After three years of successful collaboration, the energy data-X innovation project has come to an end. Together with its project partners, PPC has worked to develop a secure, sovereign, and decentralized data ecosystem for the energy industry. The focus was on integrating intelligent metering systems (iMSys) as a highly secure communication platform. Successful use cases demonstrate how energy data can optimize processes, harness flexibility, and enable new data-driven business models in the future.
PPC and Solar Manager have successfully demonstrated that tariff and pricing information can also be transmitted to the property and used there for local optimization.

The smart meter rollout is moving forward—but despite relevant regulatory requirements, metering for industrial and commercial customers has so far often taken place in a separate, parallel infrastructure that bypasses the smart metering system. The upcoming iRLMsys solutions are designed to close this very gap.
Once a smart meter gateway has been installed and commissioned, personal data is collected. To protect personal data, reuse has therefore not been possible until now. The “DoDeleteUserData” function, which PPC has now implemented, lays the groundwork for reuse and enables an SMGW that has already been put into operation to be reinstalled at a different location.
