Ingo Schönberg studierte an der Universität Dortmund und erhielt dort sein Ingenieurs-Diplom. Zusätzlich studierte er Betriebswirtschaft in Hagen.
Als Gründungsmitglied des Fraunhofer Instituts FhG UMSICHT in Oberhausen war er 1990 bis 1996 Leiter der Abteilung KWK/Energiedienstleistungen und bereits sehr früh in Energiewende-Themen, Erneuerbare Energien, Kälte-/Wärmeversorgung und Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung aktiv.
Es folgten ab 1996 verschiedene Führungspositionen bei der MVV Energie in Mannheim im Bereich Geschäftsentwicklung und Neue Technologien sowie beim Aufbau des Geschäftsfeldes Energiedienstleistungen. Davor leitete er schon von 2001 bis 2005 als „Vice President Project Management and Operations“ das Tagesgeschäft des Unternehmens.
Eugen Mayer studierte an der FH Konstanz Elektro- und Automatisierungstechnik und schloss seine Studien mit dem Grad als Dipl.-Ing. (FH) ab. An der Coventry University (UK) graduierte Herr Mayer mit einem Bachelor of Science (Honours).
Nach Stationen bei der Marquard GmbH und der MVV Energie AG gründete Herr Mayer zusammen mit Ingo Schönberg die PPC als Tochter der MVV Energie AG. Nach einigen Jahren als angestellter Manager übernahmen die Herren Schönberg und Mayer die PPC im Jahre 2008 im Rahmen eines Management Buyouts.

2009 stieg er als Mitarbeiter bei der Power Plus Communications AG (PPC) in Mannheim ein. Seitdem war er in verschiedenen Positionen tätig, unter anderem als Leiter des Metering Bereichs. In dieser Funktion war er für den Aufbau des Smart Meter Gateway Portfolios des Unternehmens verantwortlich.
Bevor er zu PPC wechselte, studierte und arbeitete Janosch Wagner bei der Alcatel-Lucent Deutschland AG. Dort hatte er bereits Anknüpfungspunkte zu den Themenfeldern Smart Metering und Smart Grid.
Er absolvierte sein Studium der Informationstechnik, Netz- und Softwaretechnik an der Dualen Hochschule in Stuttgart und schloss zusätzlich ein MBA Studium (Master of Business Administration) ab.
Als Miterfinder mehrerer Patente im Bereich Smart Metering ist er zudem Mitglied in den entsprechenden Standardisierungsgremien DKE und FNN tätig. is the founder, shareholder and CEO of PPC since 2001.
Schönberg studied at the University of Dortmund, where he received his engineering diploma. In addition, he studied business administration in Hagen.
As a founding member of the Fraunhofer Institute in Oberhausen, he was head of the CHP/Energy Services department from 1990 to 1996 and was active very early on in the areas of energy transition, renewable energies, refrigeration/heat supply and combined heat and power technologies.
From 1996, Schönberg held management positions at MVV Energie in Mannheim, in the areas of business development and new technologies, as well as in the development of the energy services division. Prior to that, Mayer was Vice President of Project Management and Operations of the company from 2001 to 2005.
Eugen Mayer studied electrical and automation technology at the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz and completed his studies with a degree as Dipl.-Ing. (FH). Mr Mayer graduated from Coventry University (UK) with a Bachelor of Science (Honours).
After periods at Marquard GmbH and MVV Energie AG, Mayer founded PPC together with Ingo Schönberg as a subsidiary of MVV Energie AG. Schönberg and Mayer assumed the leadership of PPC in 2008 as part of a management buyout.

Janosch joined Power Plus Communications AG (PPC) in Mannheim in 2009.
Since then, he has held various positions, including Head of Metering. In this role, he was responsible for building the company’s Smart Meter Gateway portfolio.
Before joining PPC, Janosch Wagner studied and worked at Alcatel-Lucent Deutschland AG. There he already gained experience with smart metering and smart grid technologies.
He completed his studies in information technology, network and software engineering at the Duale Hochschule in Stuttgart and also completed an MBA degree (Master of Business Administration).
