With the FOX (Flexible without a Box) logistics and on-demand service from Power Plus Communications (PPC), metering point operators (MSBs) now have access to a standalone logistics service for the delivery of smart meter gateways, which significantly simplifies the management of the MSB supply chain without the need for additional SiLKe transport packaging or the MSB’s own SiLKe-authorized personnel.

With each measurement concept that is phased out, both project planners and grid operators are learning how to get tenant-generated electricity to end users more quickly. At the same time, the switching processes are becoming more standardized thanks to simplifications such as the Federal Network Agency’s AHB Strom 2.1.
