The BMWi and BSI have published a positive market analysis following the third Gateway certification. PPC-SMGWs have been in the rollout phase since 2018 and are in use at 50 MSBs.
PPC and BTC offer a proven solution for submetering via a certified smart meter gateway, which opens up a new, investment-safe business opportunity for municipal utilities.
Our Smart Meter Gateway (SMGW) has received the type examination certificate from the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB). This confirms compliance with the requirements of the German Weights and Measures Act and thus, among others, PTB-A 50.8 for all required tariff use cases (TAF 1, 2, 6, 7). Harz Energie Netz GmbH has successfully put its first BSI-certified 450 MHz Smart Meter Gateways from PPC into operation, reaching a new milestone.
