The focus is on further developing the smart meter gateway and the surrounding process landscape in accordance with the phased plan, as well as evaluating them in practice.

The BMWi and BSI have published a positive market analysis following the third Gateway certification. PPC-SMGWs have been in the rollout phase since 2018 and are in use at 50 MSBs.
