Mannheim, October 2, 2024: TR-03109-5 certification achieved! PPC is the first company to receive certificates for the BSZ process and TR-5 for CLS adapter submetering <\/strong><\/p>

“We are pleased to be the first to announce this double achievement,” said Karen Schmid, CLS Products Team Leader at PPC. “After recently completing the BSI’s new BSZ certification process, we have now also certified our CLS solution according to TR-5. With our CLS Adapter Submetering, we now have the first certified CLS product with digital interfaces available for the German market\u2014which for us clearly marks the starting point for the mass rollout of CLS products.” <\/p>

By completing these certifications, PPC is ensuring legal and planning certainty in the CLS environment. The requirements for certifying CLS gateways were formalized by the BSI in December 2023, thereby establishing standards for interoperability and cybersecurity for all market participants. As a component of critical infrastructure, this dual certification not only strengthens confidence in security for end customers and network operators but also drives standardization at the interface between the network and the end customer. <\/p>

With this proven compliance, the door is wide open for further PPC processes with partners. Ingo Sch\u00f6nberg, CEO of PPC, also emphasizes the significance of this milestone: \u201cTogether with our customers and partners, we have set the course for a cyber-secure digitalization of the German energy transition and for the active participation of end customers with this smart metering system. With our certified CLS products, we now offer a platform for partners and customers to implement numerous use cases. With TR-5, the focus is clearly on interoperability. Through our interoperability initiative, which is already underway, we offer partners the opportunity to participate in a verified SMGW\/CLS ecosystem. With the recently published EEBUS compatibility list, we are building on many successful projects and driving forward the collaborative development of added value.\u201d <\/p>

With the CLS Adapter Control, the next certification process is already underway to address what is sure to be the most in-demand use case in the near future. In addition, new features and HEMS integration are in the pipeline and are set to be incorporated into the CLS systems through recertification. Customers are also eagerly awaiting the Monteurstool app, which enables a simple local commissioning process for digitally controllable systems and thus supports installers during setup. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
