Mannheim, 26th of November 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Power Plus Communications AG (PPC) has successfully completed the recertification of its CLS Adapter Submetering. This means that the adapter submetering not only continues to meet the BSI’s security and interoperability requirements for the rollout of smart metering systems, but also functions in the same way as the CLS adapter control system certified in February this year. This is an important step towards establishing a multifunctional platform with smart value-added services in the rollout.<\/p>\n

From individual solution to platform: CLS becomes the heart of digital business models<\/h3>\n

With the new certification, PPC’s CLS portfolio is evolving into a comprehensive platform for multi-use case applications in rollout. Energy suppliers, network operators and submetering service providers can rely on and access a powerful, interoperable and fully certified system. This makes application areas beyond mere data transmission even more scalable.<\/p>\n

  • Submetering for digitised properties \u2013 the basis for housing services, tenant electricity and energy sharing<\/li>\n
  • Integration of energy management systems (EMS) \u2013 e.g. for dynamic tariffs, control or load optimisation<\/li>\n
  • Measurement data pre-processing & edge functionality \u2013 e.g. for predictive maintenance<\/li>\n
  • Control of flexible consumers and feeders \u2013 especially for digitalisation in the heating sector, e.g. through heat pumps or house stations<\/li>\n
  • Security-related use cases in building management and for services, including for non-energy applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
