A consortium of 12 partners, including PPC, collaborated. The objective was to find a solution that complies with the regulations covering charging, control and billing of charging operations, using smart meter gateways.<\/p><p>Further development addressed standards set by the BSI (German Federal office for Information Security) for digitalising the control, billing and management of loading operations in distribution networks.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3a0ac9b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3a0ac9b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Funded project<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-582b3f2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"582b3f2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>LamA-connect has been funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) for almost three years. It should show that charging infrastructure with high security standards can be controlled and monitored using smart meter gateways. The project also focuses on cooperation with the funding agency and the involvement of all relevant actors at the federal level. How can billing be achieved seamlessly, legally, and in compliance with the regulations? These issues are currently among the most pressing in the field of energy and e-mobility.<\/p><p><strong>LamA-connect<\/strong> developed a coordination platform, based on smart meter gateway data, that considers both the conditions of the energy network and the needs of electric vehicle users, while keeping an eye on secure operations and the legal framework.<\/p><p>The team started with the model \u201cloading at work\u201d, then extended the scope to typical charging scenarios such as \u201cloading in a residential space\u201d and \u201cloading in a public car park\u201d. Laboratory tests completed the project. The result is the first metering and billing solution to comply with the regulations and guidelines for Smart Mobility, as defined by the German BMWi and BSI.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-5e809d8d\" data-id=\"5e809d8d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b6d77e0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b6d77e0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Role of PPC<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-613d4d4f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"613d4d4f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>PPC\u2019s Smart Meter Gateway played the important role of encrypting data communication and providing the data relevant for billing. Secure allocation of data was essential.
